Install on your platform

One tag in the site-wide header covers every page, however many you have. Your own tag, with your key filled in, is on the Setup tab of your dashboard.

You never add it page by page. Single-page apps are followed automatically. The tag includes data-consent="auto", which follows your cookie banner, so nothing personal is recorded until a visitor accepts analytics.

WordPress and WooCommerce

  1. In your dashboard open the site's Setup tab and choose Download the WordPress plugin. It has your site key and address inside already.
  2. In WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the zip → Activate.
  3. That is it. The plugin adds the tag to every page, skips logged-in editors and shop managers, follows your cookie banner, and on WooCommerce reports each order's value and currency on the confirmation page (never names, emails, addresses or items).
  4. Settings → Unagi Analytics lets you change the key, switch off automatic cookie-banner following, or stop recording click labels.

Shopify

Without an app (works on any plan):

  1. Online Store → Themes → ⋯ → Edit code → layout/theme.liquid. Paste the theme snippet from Settings → Install on your site just before </head>. It adds the script and passes the visitor's anonymous ID to the checkout.
  2. Settings → Customer events → Add custom pixel. Paste the custom pixel from Settings → Install on your site and connect it. It reports each order's value and currency, tied to the anonymous visit.

Shopify's checkout and thank-you pages do not run theme scripts, which is why the order value comes from the pixel. A one-click Shopify app is scaffolded but not yet published; installing it needs Shopify's review.

Wix

Settings → Advanced → Custom code → Add custom code. Paste the tag, name it "Unagi", choose All pages, place it in Head. Custom code needs a paid Wix plan with a connected domain.

Squarespace

Settings → Advanced → Code injection → Header. Paste the tag and save. Code injection needs a Core plan or above.

Webflow

Site settings → Custom code → Head code. Paste the tag, save, and publish. Needs a paid site plan.

BigCommerce

Storefront → Script Manager → Create a script. Location: All pages, type: Script, paste the tag. Send exact order values from the order confirmation page as described in the events guide.

Magento, PrestaShop, OpenCart

Add the tag to the shared header template (a child theme or an "additional scripts in head" setting), not to individual pages.

Ghost

Settings → Code injection → Site header.

Google Tag Manager

New tag → Custom HTML → paste the tag → Trigger: All Pages → publish. If you use Consent Mode, the tag follows it automatically.

Not on this list?

Anywhere you can add code to the site-wide header works. See the install guide, and connect your cookie banner if yours is not recognised automatically. Mobile apps are covered in the app guide.
